Who Allowed You to Get on the Bed - Chapter 29

Du Linglan’s eyes started to open as she woke up from consciousness. She subconsciously turned to the person beside her to nestle but accidentally touched the coldness on the bed. She turned her head in a panic and looked at the empty side of the bed. Han Luoting wasn’t there!

Her heart clenched tightly and with some fear she got up even slippers had not had time to wear. She went out of the bedroom to look for his trace.

She was used to waking up and seeing him when she opened her eyes. Because she couldn't see him, she would always panic inexplicably. She was afraid that the sweetness of these days was actually her own delusional dream.

If it dreamed it was really cruel to her.

Du Linglan panted, searching until she found Han Luoting in the kitchen. Her legs were soft and almost couldn’t stand.

Hearing the sound of footsteps, Han Luoting turned back, saw her panicked and anxious look as well as her bare feet.

"What happened?" He furrowed his eyebrows as he came to Du Linglan, picked her up and walked to the sofa in the living room. "Why didn’t you wear slippers and what about a coat? Why didn't you wear it? What should I do if you catch a cold?" His tone with a little reprimand. He was displeased with her lack of crisis consciousness.

After half a day, Han Luoting discovered the strangeness of Du Linglan and quickly reached for her forehead. "Not feeling well? Let's go to the doctor." He said and got up, took off his long sweater and put it on her thin body that was only wearing pajamas. He picked her up and headed outside.

"Wait." Du Linglan turned around and grasped his arm firmly, preventing him from sending her to the doctor. "I'm fine, really, I just...... just woke up and couldn’t find you, I was a little anxious that’s all." She said softly as low as a mosquito. She felt that she was too fussy.

Upon hearing his footsteps stopped.

Her small face was indeed only embarrassed, not a little discomfort and her body was perfectly fine. No trembling and no cold sweat. So as she said there was nothing happening to her.

Han Luoting took Du Linglan back to the sofa and sat down. He let her sit on his lap and hugged her from behind. "I saw that you haven’t woken up yet, so I went to the vegetable market and bought some bones to make soup for you." He explained why he wasn’t with her when she woke up.

"You......what?" Du Linglan stared at him with big eyes and her face didn’t believe what she heard.

The blood rushed to Han Luoting’s face and he coughed lightly, cleared his throat and said awkwardly: "I heard the boss's wife in the market said that pregnant women are afraid of heat and your belly is getting bigger and bigger not suitable to stand in front of the stove to cook anymore. So I thought let me cook afterward."

If she wasn’t touched it must be a lie. (tenderflower: IKR?! 😆)

Du Linglan saw with her sharp eyes that on his hand was a spot of redness. It should have been burned by the steam. Fortunately, it was only red and there were no blisters. "I don’t mind. I’m not afraid of heat..."

"Not a chance." He interrupted her. "I don't want you to work so hard. Although I’ve never cooked, I’ll follow according to the recipe to make it. If it doesn't work well, we can go to Shujia to eat. That’s what Mofei said and Shujia people will take good care of you."

"Did you talk to Mofei?" She was a little surprised. Han Luoting wasn’t the type of person that asked questions when there were problems. Most of the time he chose to find the answer and solve it himself, but for her, he went to Yang Mofei.

"Yes." They were all orphans so everything about taking care of her all learned from the aging mothers from the vegetable market. He didn't want to make any mistakes so he would rather risk being cocoon and ask someone.

Fortunately, Yang Mofei was sympathetic to him. Recently his wife also went to do a pregnancy test and confirmed she was pregnant for a month.

The Shujia people were solemn about such matters. They also understand that the two of them didn’t understand anything about what to eat to supplement the body. Shujia also prepared a portion for Du Linglan, simply regarded her as their second daughter.

"Thank you...... Luoting." She said softly and didn't know what to do in order to express the full gratitude in her heart.

He tightened his arms and habitually stroked her belly. "Don't thank me. Everything I did was just a trivial thing. It was nothing compared to your morning sickness and the cramping of your calf at night. It isn’t worth thanking."

Listening to her always retching and at night seeing her always awakened by the cramped of her calf, he couldn’t help but feel distressed.

How could it not be worthy? When he heard her morning sickness, he looked everywhere and asked others what to do to slow down her symptoms and discomfort. In the middle of the night, he always took the trouble to rub her calves for a whole hour to lessen her tight muscles without stopping his hands and complaining tired.

Not to mention now, he actually cooked for her!
